  1. We have many questions coming at us at once and are working through them as quickly as we can. There is no need to download a new version of Skylink as it automatically updates when you launch it. We are aware of the flight report bugs and our technology team is working hard to squash them Thank you for your understanding! @UAL2355 -Jay

Join us for our 7th Annual Birthday Bash Sunday, March 24th from 2 PM EST - 8 PM EST. We will be flying from Denver to Portland, and finally to sunny Los Angeles California. We are working with our partner Vatsim to provide gate to gate ATC coverage. REX Simulations has sponsored our event, so there will be some pretty cool prizes to be awarded at random to participating members. To be eligible for a prize, you must be an active pilot on our roster and RSVP for the event here. You must have RSVPd at least an hour before the event start on the 24th. Keep checking back for updates.
  3. Ready for the weekend!

  4. Our transition to Skynet has been completed, and we are now operating from skynet.vusci.org. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a few technical issues with our server. So, effective immediately, we are temporarily suspending all new applications and reactivation requests. Current and active pilots can still use Skynet and Skylink. For questions and concerns, please reach out to us on our Discord server or CCS. A staff member will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
  5. We at Virtual United Social Club are thrilled to announce the obtainment of ATO (Authorized Training Organization) status from our partner Vatsim. With this certification, all of our pilots will be able to obtain Vatsim’s P1 and P2 rating through our training department. This is a fantastic opportunity not only for us as an organization, but for all of our members. Now, pilots are able to log hours with us while also earning their Vatsim ratings at the same time. For any questions about our training program, please email [email protected]
  6. We at Virtual United Social Club are thrilled to announce that we have been working on a new platform for planning your flights, tracking them and logging them. This new platform will both replace our entire operations system including our ACARS. Through both of these programs, flying with us will be easier than ever. Our new platform SKYNET will replace our current Airline Management System on the web. SKYNET will be a ‘one stop shop’ for all of your needs. From here you will be able to manage your account, book flights, review your flight history, and see some of the statistics from all your past flights. Not only that but it will also encompass our new support system. Whether you need assistance with something related to Technology, Flight Operations, or any other department we have, you will be able to submit a ticket and receive assistance from the appropriate folks. Just like any support system you may have used in the past, you will be able to view the status of your requests and any actions on it as well! While our current ACARS client vUACARS has served us well for some time now, we’ve decided with a new web-platform there was an opportunity to do it even better. Introducing SKYLINK, our new ACARS client that will make starting, tracking, and logging your flights with us easier than ever. One thing we knew we wanted to accomplish was to make your interaction with the program as minimal as possible so you could get to what you really want to do, fly! With that goal in mind, we have built the client from the ground up, to be as simple and minimal as possible. There is so much more to this new platform we are looking forward to sharing with everyone. But for now, we wanted to give you some of the broad strokes of the changes in store! We look forward to sharing more specific glimpses on each platform in upcoming blog posts. With those we will give you an inside look at them, showcasing some of the key features of the new, upcoming platform. Giovanni Medrano, Keith Lovell, and Mike Ortins Vice President of Technology, Directors of ACARS, and Director of Technology Communications [email protected]
  7. Virtual United Social Club Incorporated had an exciting year with so many accomplishments. As we start looking at 2019, we wanted to provide our community with some insight to what 2019 will look like for us here at Virtual United Social Club. Community Relations and Partners In 2019 we look forward to maintaining our relationship with our current sponsors as well as building new ties with potential partners and sponsors. One way we plan on doing this is by attending Flight Sim Expo in Orlando, Florida. There we will be able to meet in person and discuss many possibilities for 2019 and years to come. We also look forward to our larger events next year. Our 7th annual Birthday Bash, our summer event, and our winter event. Stay tuned for more information! Technology Our technology team here at vUSCI looks forward to updating our schedules quarterly and to the continued enhancements to our technological platforms. Community Operations In 2019 we look forward to launching our new training program which will include Vatsim ATO. Stay tuned for more exciting information to come. Staff Relations This January we will be hosting a staff retreat at Washington Dulles International Airport. This retreat will give our staff the opportunity to collaborate on upcoming initiatives as well provide the opportunity for team building exercises. 2019 is shaping up to be another outstanding year for us here at vUSCI!
  8. Be sure to check out our organizational recap!

  9. As we prepare to enter 2019, it is time for our annual recap. 2018 was an excellent year for us here at Virtual United Social Club! We re-launched our crew communications system (CCS). Members now can collaborate, share screenshots, download necessary files, and much more. If you are not already on CCS, click here to sign up. vUSCI Staff team attended our first flight simulation conference in Dallas, Texas. We had the opportunity to participate, collaborate with other flight enthusiasm at the annual FlightsimCon. While there, we were also able to host our first staff conference. This enhanced and aided our team building efforts. vUSCI renewed our legal agreement with United Airlines, Inc. in August 2018. This has allowed us to have a working relationship with the airline. Our training department has been redeveloped, and we are looking at a first-quarter launch in 2019. This will allow us here at vUSCI to enhance our community member experience. We also hosted three major online events this year: vUSCI Birthday Bash, Fun in the Sun, and most recently Home for the Holidays. They were all a success, and we look forward to next year’s big events! We continued to build relationships with our Partners and Sponsors. We also added ORBX and SkyBlue radio to our partner's list! To see all of our partners and sponsors as well get links to all of their websites, click here. New community competitions were also launched in 2018. These include our monthly screenshot competition and hub competition. These have helped to grow the relationship and community feeling amongst our members. We look forward to continuing these initiatives in 2019. To complement the monthly competitions, we also started monthly events. These included the NFL charter flights and tours. We look forward to expanding upon these in 2019. Fun Fact, Saturday on Instagram and Snapchat, was also started. It is our weekly trivia game that helps to engage our members. We look forward to continuing the game throughout 2019. Our flight schedules were even updated to reflect the real world operations of United Airlines. This has provided our pilots with the most realistic experience possible. If you notice a route is missing. Don’t hesitate to post it in the missing route request form on CCS. Click here for the direct link. As of today, we have: 438 Total Pilots 11,478 Total Flight in 2018 41,423 Total Hours in 2018 These numbers are just amazing. We want to thank every one of our members for making 2018 the success it was. We cannot wait to see what 2019 has in store for us!
